World Cup I is a first class dressage sire but this impressive stallion also produced some very good jumpers such as: White Vienna (E. Blaton). In 1997 he became Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. Grande as damsire was and if not is, still one of the hallmark stallions of Hanoverian breeding. He is sire of many international dressage horses (Galapagos and Grandison with G. Grillo) and jumpers (Santa Cruz with W. Bettinger and Gratulant 2 with G. Wiltfang). Artur (by Abglanz) is bred exactly the same as the famous Abhang I, II and III.
Performance:
Welcome, who was trained by Olympic champion Isabell Werth from the age of 3, has already won almost everything there is to win for a dressage horse in his career.

In short, an absolute asset for the Netherlands. From 1998 the stallion was in our ownership and was used for the first time in his life in breeding.
Offspring:
So until April 1998 Welcome had never been used in breeding. Since his arrival with us, many breeders have already used him. The first foals were born in 1999 and were rewarded with an excellent pedigree report. One of his first sons Sledgehammer (mf. Ladalco) placed third at the foal championship at Champion Arnhem. His daughter Trix (mv. Donnerschlag) won the aptitude test for 3-year-old dressage horses in Varsseveld in 2003, his son Scotch (mv. Flemmingh) was Gelders Champion M1 dressage and Trix's full sister, U2, was reserve champion at the aptitude test for 3-year-old dressage horses in Varsseveld in 2004. Gait, schwung, size and a good character are the keywords for his children. Femke Beljon is also performing very well with her Winnetou (Welcome x Investment).
Welcome has since died and frozen semen is available upon request.
Welcome is approved by the KWPN, Hannover, Westphalia and Oldenburg.
